Our 1% pledge

We’re in the business of creating beautiful, practical, livable spaces or adapting homes that are already special. We are however, acutely aware that not everyone in society is as privileged as ourselves - going without the most basic of human needs - food, shelter and to feel safe in this world.

This uncomfortable reality and has lead us to appreciate our privileged position. We have made a conscious decision to donate a percentage of our design fees for every new sign-on to one of the following charities:

Firesticks Alliance

Firesticks Alliance is an Indigenous led not for profit organisation that provides leadership, advocacy and action to protect, conserve and enhance cultural and natural values of people and Country through cultural fire and land management practices. Firesticks values and respects country, local knowledge, protocols of Elders and ancestors and are committed to providing a supportive Indigenous led network that fosters a community of practice to maintain and share Cultural fire knowledge on Country. Firesticks is facilitating training, implementing on-ground works and conducting scientific monitoring to establish a greater understanding of the ecological impact of cultural burning practices. The program aims to work with fire to enhance ecosystem health by improving habitat condition and connectivity within culturally connected landscapes. The ultimate goal of Firesticks is to support cultural learning pathways that enable and empower Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities to work collectively towards resilient landscapes.

Literacy for Life is an Aboriginal-run charity training Aboriginal people to bring literacy to their communities The organisation uses an innovative, evidence-based, campaign approach that has already helped millions around the world and is now delivering results in Australia.
